Echiurida  [5 of 16]

(Bonella viridis) Español Echiurida
This strange creature is only seen at night, when the female extends from her anchor on a rock face to be up to 2m long. When disturbed she pulls herself back to the anchor point as if a fisherman were reeling in the two arms. The male is however only 1-3mm long and lives on her body!
